From Thursday, July 23 to Sunday, July 26, Gaucín once again celebrates its traditional Flamenco Festival.
Featuring this stunning poster by renowned artist Pepe Barroso, the festival offers four days of outstanding performances and a diverse programme showcasing a range of artistic disciplines;
The festival opens with acclaimed pianist Diego Valdivia and his ensemble, while local author Francis Prieto will present his book A Fandango for the People (Un fandango al
pueblo).
On Friday, audiences will enjoy the talent, passion and innovative fusion of guitarist José Manuel León, joined by Sergio de Lope (flute and saxophone), Pastora Andrades (bass) and Javier Rabadán (percussion).
Saturday, July 25 marks the festival’s main event, featuring celebrated flamenco singers Duquende and Felipa del Moreno, accompanied by guitarists Julio Romero and Antonio Malena, together with the outstanding dancer Fernando Jiménez, from Jerez, and his company.
To bring the festival to a spectacular close, and as part of their tour of Spain, we are delighted to welcome the extraordinary Brazilian Guedes Brothers. Karai, Andresito and Anahy will perform their distinctive Gaucho repertoire, highlighting the international reach and enduring influence of flamenco.
All events will take place in Plaza del Santo Niño, with the exception of the book presentation, which will be held in Parque de la Alameda.
We look forward to welcoming you to another unforgettable edition of the Del Corcho Valle del Genal Flamenco Festival!
